Somewhere to sleep, and a way to get there.

The estate has no rooms of its own, but the valley is full of places to stay. This is how most guests do it.

Most guests stay within fifteen minutes of the estate, and most groups book a coach for the end of the night.

The music ends at 11:30 pm and the last guests leave the grounds by midnight, so plan the ride home before the day. Taxis are few in the valley at night, and rideshare cars rarely come this far out.

Farm cottages

Several working farms along the valley road let out cottages and converted sheds, most within ten to fifteen minutes’ drive. They suit families and the wedding party, and many take bookings for two nights over a wedding weekend.

The village

Kestrel Vale, the village ten minutes up the road, has a country pub with rooms, a guesthouse and a handful of holiday houses. It is the easiest choice for guests without a car, because the coach can collect from the main street.

The regional town

The larger regional town, about thirty minutes away, has motels and hotels with the most rooms in one place. Corporate groups staying overnight usually book here, with a coach to and from the estate.

Getting there and getting home

Free parking on the field beside the hall, with room for coaches. Guests who drive in can leave their cars overnight and collect them before ten the next morning.

Coaches and shuttles

Most weddings and parties book a coach or minibus to run between the village, the cottages and the estate, with a last run after midnight. The events team can pass on the details of local operators after your viewing.

Overnight corporate groups

Corporate groups staying overnight usually book rooms in the regional town, about thirty minutes away, with a coach in the morning and back after dinner. For a day meeting starting at 8:30 am, we suggest leaving town at eight.

Driving

The estate is on Tallowmere Road, ten minutes past the village of Kestrel Vale. The gate is on the left; follow the drive to the parking field beside the hall. The road is sealed all the way.

Accessible parking

Two spaces by the kitchen yard are kept for guests who need them. Tell the events team who will be using them, and we will hold them on the day.
